The VGF-CP1U is Sony’s new digital photo frame with Wi-Fi features that allow you to stream photos and music from the internet. You can display as many photos as your PC can store with the frame’s wireless features. Pictures are vibrantly displayed on a 7” LCD screen with a resolution of 800 X 480 in 16 million colors. The internal hard drive is 128MB which can hold as many as a hundred photos. Photo albums from Google Picasa updates the pictures in the frame in real-time. Pictures can be presented in three unique slideshows.

Multimedia features include built-in MP3 player and speakers which can play songs from your computer. The RSS reader can update you on current events as it downloads and displays content from the web. Music streams can be accessed and played back from SHOUTcast Radio. A desk clock is displayed on the corner of the screen as you view pictures or news feeds. For extended memory, the frame has a USB port, Memory Stick Media Slot, compact flash, and Secure Digital Slot. Light sensors and LED buttons alerts you with any updates on Picasa or RSS feeds.

Sony’s VGF-CP1U takes a whole new approach in bringing multimedia content right into a digital photo frame. The unit comes with a remote control, its own stand, AC adapter, and power cord.
